Today, I am reminding myself that in the realm of faith, I covet a peculiar yet profound virtue I call holy optimism. It is a perspective that defies human logic and reasoning, because it stands on the precipice of belief when circumstances suggest doubt. Holy optimism is the audacious act of trusting God, even when it appears that He cannot be trusted.

As I delve into the depths of holy optimism, I find myself walking through the realm of hope, faith, and joy. It is in this sacred territory that my soul finds solace, knowing that despite the trials, dangers, and even failures that I might encounter, God's goodness remains unwavering. It is a resolute belief that God can take the darkest of circumstances and weave them into a tapestry of beauty.

But, holy optimism is not just a positive outlook in the material sense, it is a profound spiritual conviction. It transcends the limitations of human understanding, pointing us towards a higher truth. It is the profound assurance that even in the midst of trials, something good is being birthed, and even in mourning, a blessing awaits.

The essence of holy optimism lies in placing our hope firmly in a God who is good, loving, and faithful. It is an act of surrendering our doubts and fears to Him, knowing that He is in control and will bring forth a good result, even when it seems impossible. It is an unyielding belief that goodness will emerge from the darkest corners of our lives.

Holy optimism is the audacious act of trusting God, even when it appears that He cannot be trusted.

Dear friends, holy optimism beckons us to embrace the madness of trusting God against all odds. It challenges us to see beyond the temporal and grasp the eternal truth that our heavenly Father is orchestrating a symphony of redemption, restoration, and renewal. It urges us to rise above the storms of life with unshakeable faith, knowing that God's hand is at work, and He is making all things beautiful in His time.

So, in the face of adversity, will you join me as a courageous bearer of holy optimism, standing firm in the knowledge that God is with us, and His goodness will prevail. May your heart echo the resounding declaration: "Good is going to come out of this." And as you do, you will witness the transformative power of holy optimism, igniting a flame of hope, faith, and joy that will guide you through every season of life.

May we, like the Apostle Paul, boldly declare, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). In the madness of holy optimism, we can find the unwavering belief that God can be trusted, even when it seems He can't. And in that belief, we can discover a wellspring of hope, faith, and joy that will sustain us in every circumstance.

Let holy optimism be our anchor in the storm, our guiding light in the darkness, and our unyielding hope in the face of uncertainty. For God is faithful, and His promises endure forever.
